Facepunch Studios’ Birmingham workplace channels the identity of a leading game developer into an expressive piece of office interior design, where bold colour, sculptural lighting, and dynamic architectural gestures set the tone. Oktra’s concept brings together the energy of gaming culture with contemporary workspace design, creating a sequence of environments that support collaboration, focused work, and social interaction. Illuminated corridors, fluid circulation paths, and immersive breakout spaces shape a distnctive narrative throughout this commercial interior.

Our CGI and 360º walkthrough were developed to show how these elements interact across scale, materials, and shifting atmospheres - key for clients in architecture, interior design, and design and build who require an accurate sense of spatial rhythm before construction. The walkthrough allowed decision-makers to experience transitions between zones: from neon-lit gaming sequences to greenery-rich lounges and warm timber meeting areas. Each space responds differently to light, texture, and movement, and translating these nuances through visualization was central to communicating the design’s intent.

The challenge was to illustrate how a visually dynamic, brand-led workplace maintains usability across a broad programme. Through both still imagery and the 360º VR tour, we demonstrated how lighting supports navigation, how colour intensity shapes perception in open-plan volumes, and how the industrial envelope integrates with contemporary finishes. This level of visual detail is essential for commercial office design.
